Most sensor control systems require specifying and installing sensors and nodes separately to meet the requirements of an application. Our Scout family of integrated sensor nodes combine the sensor, communication module and battery into one package for easy, wireless and low cost integration into a SignalFire Remote Sensing System. Battery-powered, Scout Sensor Nodes eliminate the need to specify independent sensors, power sources and wires when monitoring different assets. No other telemetry system offers a selection of Integrated Sensor Nodes that reduce installation costs and time!
Operating as part of a SignalFire Remote Sensing System, battery-powered “Scout” Sensor Nodes eliminate the need to specify independent sensors, power sources and wires when monitoring different assets. No other telemetry system offers a selection of Integrated Sensor Nodes that reduce installation costs and time.
SignalFire currently offers three varieties of Scout Sensor Nodes including the Pressure Scout, Tilt Scout and Float Scout.
Pressure Scout integrates a wireless Sentinel node, pressure sensor, and intrinsically-safe internal battery into one package to serve as a low-cost alternative to conduit, wired, and other pressure sensor solutions. The Pressure Scout monitors pressure continuously and checks in rapidly to instantly “cry out” when an alarm is violated while, at the same time, maintain exceptional battery life.
Proven applications: Monitoring Wellhead Tubing and Casing Pressures and Water Tower Pressures.
The Tilt Scout combines an intrinsically safe wireless inclinometer with a 900mHz radio and antenna and an internal battery pack within a NEMA4X enclosure. The three-axis sensor detects the change in angle (movement) of an asset as part of a SignalFire Remote Sensing System.
Proven applications: Monitor operating status of pipelayer sidebooms, tank hatch position and pump jack motion. With feedback from the wireless sensor, workers can determine the angular status of assets, such as if a tank hatch is ajar and/or a pump jack is idle, to confirm operations or take immediate corrective action.
The Float Scout (formerly known as Tank Level Float Stick System) mates a magnetostrictive level pr. obe and temperature sensor with a wireless Sentinel Node within a battery -powered or C1D1-rated solar package to take level and temperature readings, which are sent to a SignalFire Gateway where data is available via a Modbus RTU or TCP interface. The magnetostricive level problem is available with single or dual floats for level and interface measurements while the integrated temperature sensor measure fluid temperature.
Proven applications: Serves as a complete wireless tank level monitoring solution for oil fields.
