Oil & Gas

SignalFire Telemetry products connect you with crucial product and hardware data at any of your oil and gas operation sites—whether it’s a pump, pipeline, or storage tank.

Water & Wastewater

SignalFire Telemetry devices install anywhere water asset monitoring is needed, whether it’s for collection purposes, treatment, or delivery.

General Industrial

SignalFire Telemetry devices can monitor key assets and can do it affordably, without any renovation or high-priced engineering costs. They install easily with no required cable or additional power. The data is available on your phone or computer and the cloud service can even output to your corporate system to integrate with the rest of your data and keep your operation running.

Agriculture

SignalFire Telemetry devices can monitor and manage water supplies and additives throughout the property, helping you avoid catastrophic shortages and keep your irrigation plan on track.

Tanks & Terminals

Avoid costly product loss in bulk storage tanks, terminals, and transportation movements. Whether calling for tank levels, gauge pressure, or even movement pumps or pipelines, SignalFire products can fill any monitoring gap throughout a facility.

Environmental

Environmental fines for businesses are frustrating and can bring business to a standstill until they’re worked out. No business wants to hurt the environment, and in competitive markets stopping production affects the bottom line and staff. But there are effective and affordable solutions with SignalFire Telemetry devices.

Refining & Petrochemical

Expand visibility and control of your refinery or petrochemical processing facility without expensive renovations or redesigns. And do it with your current gauges and hardware. SignalFire telemetry devices are designed to work in harsh chemical environments and meet the strictest safety and security standards

Utilities

No matter the size of your service map, monitoring remote assets ensures efficiency and keeps your operation in compliance. That’s how SignalFire devices can really help, offering the most affordable and effective monitoring solution that will monitor liquid, gas, electricity, and other assets.

SignalFire Launches AirQ Scout-LCD: The Future of Wireless Gas Emissions Monitoring

Marlborough, MA – May 18, 2026

SignalFire continues to demonstrate its commitment to customer-driven innovation with the release of the new AirQ Scout-LCD 900 MHz wireless gas detection system.

Following the successful launch of the AirQ Scout in June 2025, customers requested a solution with local indication and visual alarming. SignalFire’s response is the all-new AirQ Scout-LCD, delivering powerful wireless gas monitoring with an integrated LCD display for real-time visibility in the field.

Designed for seamless integration with SignalFire’s 900 MHz gateways, the AirQ Scout-LCD features an advanced smart sensor that stores critical diagnostics directly on the sensor, including remaining life, calibration history, and serial number—all accessible via the built-in LCD.

Pre-calibrated replacement sensors eliminate the need for field calibration, reducing maintenance time. By enabling real-time visibility into sensor health, the system supports more efficient, predictive maintenance and lowers overall operating costs.

The initial release of the AirQ Scout-LCD is designed to monitor hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) concentrations from 0 to 100 ppm. Future versions will support additional gases, including carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO₂), and lower explosive limit (LEL) measurements for various combustible gases.

With a wireless range of up to 0.5 miles (800 meters), the AirQ Scout-LCD enables gas detection in remote or hard-to-reach locations without the need for trenching or wiring. Its battery-powered design eliminates the need for external power supplies. For extended coverage, repeater nodes can be deployed to create a robust wireless mesh network.

When paired with the PATRIoT Gateway, multiple gas readings can be seamlessly integrated into existing control systems using Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, MQTT/Sparkplug, or EtherNet/IP. Users can also remotely monitor data through SignalFire Cloud, enabling real-time visibility, alarming, and reporting.

Engineered for hazardous environments, the AirQ Scout-LCD is pending Class I, Division 1 intrinsically safe certification. Its wireless design eliminates the need for IS barriers or additional components, simplifying installation and reducing system cost.

Key Features of AirQ Scout-LCD:

  • Integrated smart gas sensor with internal diagnostics and stored calibration data
  • Local LCD with visual indication of gas level, sensor status, and remaining sensor life
  • Integrated keypad for zero and span calibration, bump testing, and alarm checks—no laptop or handheld required
  • 900 MHz license-free ISM band radio with 0.5 mile (800 m) line-of-sight range
  • Continuous or scheduled (emissions) measurement modes with fast sensor sampling
  • Reports gas concentration plus sensor health and fault conditions to the supervisory system
  • Long-life 72 A/h Class I, Division 1 battery pack, field replaceable
  • IP65 industrial polycarbonate housing with integrated, protected antenna
  • Class I, Division 1 (pending), Groups C, D, T4

Looking ahead, SignalFire’s product development team continues to expand its gas sensing capabilities, with additional sensor options planned based on ongoing customer feedback.

“The AirQ Scout-LCD is a direct response to what our customers have been asking for—greater visibility and simpler operation in the field,” said Josh Schadel, SignalFire’s General Manager. “It integrates seamlessly with existing SignalFire gateways, making it easy to add gas detection points without costly wiring, while new sites can be quickly deployed and connected to SCADA and remote monitoring systems.”
