Certification enables safe deployment in flammable gas environments across oil & gas operations.
Marlborough, MA — February 5, 2026 — SignalFire Telemetry, Inc. today announced that its AirQ Scout™ with Methane Sensing has achieved Class I, Division 1 (C1D1) certification, enabling safe, continuous methane monitoring in hazardous locations where flammable gases are routinely present.
Developed to address growing demand for continuous methane detection, the AirQ Scout can now be deployed directly at emission sources—including well pads, production sites, landfill operations, and compressor facilities—without compromising safety or regulatory compliance.
Unlike wired or power-intensive monitoring systems, the AirQ Scout is fully wireless and engineered for ultra-low-power operation, delivering multi-year battery life without trenching, conduit, or external power. This enables rapid, scalable deployment while significantly reducing installation costs, site disruption, and ongoing maintenance in hazardous environments.
With methane emissions under increasing regulatory scrutiny from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and global regulators, operators are under pressure to strengthen leak detection and repair (LDAR) programs and improve emissions transparency. The certified AirQ Scout provides continuous, verifiable data to support compliance initiatives, emissions reduction efforts, and ESG reporting objectives.
