SignalFire Launches DIN Gateway V2 – A Revolutionary Wireless Gateway with Integrated I/O
SignalFire Wireless Telemetry, the fastest growing producer of industrial wireless telemetry, announces the release of an innovative DIN mount wireless gateway that includes integrated I/O capability. The compact DIN Gateway V2 is a 900 MHz wireless gateway that enables network connectivity to simultaneous wireless and wired sensors. The gateway includes built-in automation and integrated I/O consisting of 2 Digital Inputs, 2 Digital Outputs, 3 Analog Inputs and an optional gateway output module with 8 analog and 2 digital outputs. The 3 analog inputs can be used for any measurement or control device. The Digital Outputs can be used for annunciation or basic on/off applications. This edge computing type capability in the wireless gateway enables discrete automation functionality.
Inspired by users, this enhanced gateway is designed for Class 1 Division 2 Groups C and D locations, communicates with up to 240 nodes at 3+ mile typical range and interfaces via RS-232 Modbus RTU or Modbus-TCP (Ethernet). This gateway supports wireless configuration of remote nodes and HART® devices via PACTware® or Radar Master and automatically configures as star or mesh network.
This compact DIN mount gateway features low power consumption, integrated high-gain 5dB omnidirectional antenna and 500 mW radio operating at 902-928 MHz license-free ISM band. The optional expansion output module provides an additional 8 Analog Outputs and 2 Digital Outputs. The DIN Gateway V2 is now available immediate shipment.
“The new DIN Gateway V2 redefines the functionality of a wireless gateway as it integrates automation and integrated I/O. This innovative gateway adds three capabilities unique to a typical gateway; ability to accept wireless and direct wired inputs, automation including 2DI, 2DO and 3AI plus and an expansion port for the optional output module providing 8 analog outputs and 2 digital outputs into a DIN mounted package,” says Sandro Esposito, VP Sales and Marketing. “Users continue to require wireless solutions that are reliable, user-friendly, versatile and cost-effective. Our wireless remote asset monitoring & control solutions provide both wireless communication and power for your existing analog sensors making your application truly wireless.”
