Oil & Gas

SignalFire Telemetry products connect you with crucial product and hardware data at any of your oil and gas operation sites—whether it’s a pump, pipeline, or storage tank.

Water & Wastewater

SignalFire Telemetry devices install anywhere water asset monitoring is needed, whether it’s for collection purposes, treatment, or delivery.

General Industrial

SignalFire Telemetry devices can monitor key assets and can do it affordably, without any renovation or high-priced engineering costs. They install easily with no required cable or additional power. The data is available on your phone or computer and the cloud service can even output to your corporate system to integrate with the rest of your data and keep your operation running.

Agriculture

SignalFire Telemetry devices can monitor and manage water supplies and additives throughout the property, helping you avoid catastrophic shortages and keep your irrigation plan on track.

Tanks & Terminals

Avoid costly product loss in bulk storage tanks, terminals, and transportation movements. Whether calling for tank levels, gauge pressure, or even movement pumps or pipelines, SignalFire products can fill any monitoring gap throughout a facility.

Environmental

Environmental fines for businesses are frustrating and can bring business to a standstill until they’re worked out. No business wants to hurt the environment, and in competitive markets stopping production affects the bottom line and staff. But there are effective and affordable solutions with SignalFire Telemetry devices.

Refining & Petrochemical

Expand visibility and control of your refinery or petrochemical processing facility without expensive renovations or redesigns. And do it with your current gauges and hardware. SignalFire telemetry devices are designed to work in harsh chemical environments and meet the strictest safety and security standards

Utilities

No matter the size of your service map, monitoring remote assets ensures efficiency and keeps your operation in compliance. That’s how SignalFire devices can really help, offering the most affordable and effective monitoring solution that will monitor liquid, gas, electricity, and other assets.

SignalFire Launches AirQ Scout: A Breakthrough Solution for Wireless Methane Emissions Monitoring

Print Print

SignalFire has once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation and customer feedback with today’s launch of the AirQ Scout—a cutting-edge methane emissions monitoring device designed for harsh environments utilizing SignalFire’s 900 MHz wireless platform.

Designed to work seamlessly with SignalFire’s 900 MHz gateway, the AirQ Scout features cutting-edge MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology for accurate and reliable methane detection—without the need for external power. The first version of the AirQ Scout will be equipped with an advanced methane sensor capable of detecting and measuring methane concentrations between 50 ppm to 1,000,000 ppm. A future version will be equipped with sensors for other gases such as H2S.  Field-tested for reliability, it can detect methane emissions at a rate of 2 SCFH, at distances up to 30 feet. With a communication range of up to 0.5 miles (800 meters), it delivers reliable wide-area coverage, ideal for industrial applications. AirQ Scout offers 15-plus years of sensor life. Its immunity to sensor poisoning and ability to operate in extreme environmental conditions (-40 to 75°C and up to 100% humidity) ensure consistent performance. The sensor performs constant self-testing and reports its operating condition.

Engineered to meet the rigorous demands of hazardous environments, the AirQ Scout is pending Class 1, Division 1 Intrinsically Safe certification and is built to operate safely in hazardous locations without risk of ignition.

To enhance methane detection coverage, especially in areas where wind direction plays a significant role, multiple AirQ Scouts can be strategically deployed to ensure optimal performance. The device offers exceptional stability and accuracy over extended periods without requiring recalibration or correction factors.

The device combines the latest in MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology with long range 900MHz connectivity to set a new standard in greenhouse gas and air quality monitoring. It helps with QUAD 0 “0000” compliance and unsafe condition monitoring. Designed for remote and rugged environments, it operates by MEMS technology without the need for external power, thanks to SignalFire’s integrated 72A/h battery pack—capable of powering the device for up to three years depending on sensing mode. The transmitted measurements include: PPM, LEL, ambient temperature, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity and absolute humidity.

Users can monitor the AirQ Scout in their existing on-premises SCADA systems. They can also monitor the AirQ Scout measurements through the SignalFire Cloud when paired with the RANGER900, offering flexible, real-time data, enabling fast monitoring, alarming and reporting.

Looking ahead, SignalFire plans to introduce additional gas sensors to complement the AirQ Scout such as H2S and flammables.
