Designated as an American National Standard, Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) is a model code developed by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) to govern the installation and inspection of plumbing system as a means of promoting public’s health, safety, and welfare.
One such code in Chapter 6 Water Supply and Distribution is Section 608.2: Excessive Water Pressure. Where static water pressure in the water supply piping is exceeding 80 psi (552 kPa),
an approved-type pressure regulator preceded by an adequate strainer shall be installed and static pressure reduced to 80 psi (552 kPa) or less. Pressure regulators for potable water distribution systems shall comply with ASSE 1003*

AE2S’s customer purchased (10) ten RANGERs with 3 analog inputs and 3 discrete inputs to monitor their (10) ten zones.
AE2S monitors both up and downstream pressure across the valve along with flow rate from a SensusTM meter. AE2S installed the solar panel and battery to power the SensusTM pulse output. The 2nd discrete input provides loss of power from the solar system and the 3rd discrete input is used for intrusion detection into the vault.
